play you only get one key so handle with care

Handle With Care is an adorable game made for Ludum Dare 28 by Yann Pellegrini. The graphics are colorful and simple, and although the double-jump controls are a bit wonky and can be frustrating until you get used to them, Yann's incorporation of the You Only Get One theme has led to a platformer where falling leads to a fate sadder than death.http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=29641

play PUSH NOW

In Patacorow's Ludum Dare 28 entry PUSH, you play as an explorer who has to retrieve a golden idol from a cave full of boulders. Compared to the rest of his spelunking peers, our hero is rather weak and can only push one object per level. Making an incorrect move means you'll get stuck, and the only option left after that is to reset the entire room.download push now

play The Day the Laughter Stopped - Crabman

It's not too often that we see a well-done serious game come out of Ludum Dare. The Day the Laughter Stopped by crabman of Hypnotic Owl is one. It's a piece of interactive fiction, and the text-based medium is used to its fullest. I don't think the author could have made the point better or with more impact as any other kind of game.http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=30736

play no way out by eniko

There are a lot of entries in this Ludum Dare which interpreted the theme as You Only Get One Bullet. Technically, No Way Out by Emma Maassen ofKitsune Games is one such, but this game is a short point and click adventure. Rather than giving you one chance to hit a given target, your one bullet is a precious resource that is not to be wasted.http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=15439

PLAY GRAIL

Paul Lawitzki's GRAIL is a Ludum Dare 28 entry that has been fittingly described by one commenter as "the Dark Souls of one-touch gaming". In it, players take control of a noble knight as he embarks on a quest to retrieve the holy grail. All actions are mapped to a single button; you jump automatically upon reaching a ledge, swing the sword at enemies when they get close, and step on floor switches when you walk over them.
There's a bit of trial and error involved in GRAIL, but the difficulty has been reduced quite a bit by the inclusion of checkpoints. Lives are unlimited, although the game does keep count of how many times the hero dies and displays the score when you reach the end of your adventure. It takes roughly ten minutes or so to play through.

PLAY 1 2 3 BAN NOW

1-2-3-ban is a new PuzzleScript game by Alan Hazelden, one-half of the development team responsible for the chemistry-themed puzzler Sokobond. The objective here is simple: you have to turn all grey objects on screen into red by touching them, although this has the effect of glueing them together. Players can only connect one ball with another when the number of dots on them are sequential in order, else you'll only push them away when trying to move towards a grey ball.PLAY IT NOW

PLAY IT NOWDaniel Haazen opted for a unique interpretation of Ludum Dare 28's You Only Get One theme. In his game, you are a cameraman who must successfully execute a single, long take of a scene. You only get one chance for each scene, and how well you do affects the film's sales.

You Only Get One Wish

Another Ludum Dare 28 submission, and this time it's a Twine entry. You Only Get One Wish is an illustrated story about a woman who finds a genie lamp while going about her errands in the forest. You're free to decide if you want to take advantage of the situation and rub the lamp, or just leave it be and walk away from it.

The game is set on a planetoid-like sphere, and you fly around its surface in a way not unlike Super Stardust HD. The catch here is that once you fire your bullet you can recollect it and fire it again. Killing the normal enemies is simple enough, but Jim is a bit more prickly of a customer. Check out the game through the browser-based Unity version, or head over to the entry page to download the actual file.play it now

Holy Crap, Bears!

You've got to hand it to Scoutmasters everywhere. They take groups of kids, who are by definition inexperienced and are usually difficult to control, into unpredictable and dangerous forests to camp. It's got to be a stressful situation even if bears don't attack. But imagine if they did. You'd have a situation like Holy Crap, Bears! on your hands.

COOPERACING PLAY IT NOW

Cooperacing is a new PuzzleScript effort from the creator of the game engine himself, Increpare. This particular puzzler tasks players with getting both race cars to the finish line, though it doesn't need to be at the same time. As long as the two cars are able to acquire individual race flags, players have solved the level and can proceed to the next one. PLAY IT NOW CLICK HERE

Excavatorrr 2: CWOUN

Excavatorrr 2: CWOUN is a remake of Arvi Teikari's Ludum Dare entry from way back in 2009. The sequel features much improved graphics that is pleasing to the eye and a departure from the Atari-styled sprites used in the original. Comparisons between this and Derek Yu's Spelunky are inevitable, though Hempuli's game contains enough differences to make it stand out on its own. PLAY IT NOW CLICK HERE
